The Cartel

The war on drugs has gotten worst then what it was years ago. Now there is Mexican cartels that are killing each other because they want to have the power of money. Also alot of innocent people lives is being taken away because the drug dealers dont want any information to be given out to any reporters or police officers. the cartels in mexico has more power then the Mexican army, the police, and the government in mexico. they are the biggest bosses in mexico. If anything doesnt go according to their plans then they will take peoples life away. The government says more than 40,000 people have been killed since President Felipe Calderón took office in 2006 and threw the federal police and military at the cartels, with the toll for 2010, 15,237, the heaviest yet.

For more than 30 years, the United States and Mexico have engaged in a mutually destructive trade in which narcotics are sent north and high-caliber weapons shipped south. This illegal traffic in guns and drugs is a serious national security and public safety threat for both the U.S. and Mexico. Drug traffickers use ever more brutal measures to get their product into the United States, and U.S. Border Patrol agents face daily assaults with increasingly deadly results. The 2011 National Drug Threat Assessment found that Mexico-based drug trafficking organizations have infiltrated every region of the United States. Also they have some level of influence in more than 1,000 U.S. cities.

We the Corporations

This year one of the biggest topic has been the right of corporations. Americans feels that it not "we the people", its "we the corporations". I feel that corporation is not a person, even though it run by one it shouldnt be treated equally. I believe that the corporation is taking away human rites and strengths the Constitution. they have too much power and feel that they can do whatever they want and it affecting the human rite. It is not a freedom if speech because those who have more money are the one that have more freedom of speech then those with less money. Human beings are people; corporations are legal fictions. I feel that when the system no longer works the system then needs to change the system.

Although corporations are the main contributors to our economic survival, they interest should not come before that of the public. They do play an important role in our society, because without them, they'll be no need for government. They're the power source that keeps society aliveCompanies should regard political strategies as integral to sustaining their competitive positions because public policy changes can affect them and their industries. The Supreme Court ruled a 5-4 decision that business should have the same freedom of speech as a human being last year. And its has affected Americas in many ways.

Eye For An Eye

Some people say that the death penalty should be ban because they feel that its barbaric and also it financial costs to taxpayers of capital punishment is several times that of keeping someone in prison for life. Others feel that it send a wrong message to kill those who kill other because the message that we send to other countries is wrong. Life in prison is a worse punishment, a more effective deterrent. The victim families seeing their family member going to thru the most painful and difficult thing that they experience is in a a way sad. George Bush once said " i don't think you should support the death penalty to seek revenge. i don't think that's right. I think the reason to support the death penalty is because it saves other people's lives"

Those who oppose that the death penalty shouldn't be ban are the ones that feels justice is better served. If the punishment fit the crime then the killer should be dead. Death penalty gives more closure to the victims families because they fell that justice served. The victims family feels that life in prison means that the prisoner is still around and feel as if they would be haunted by it. The biggest reason to keep the death penalty is to basically prevent the crime from happening again. Now and days parole is joke and it can give criminals another chance to kill. There been criminals who got out on parole and then months later go back in because of another crime they commit. So maybe the death penalty is worth it.

My view on the death penalty is that i think we should have it. But there should also be strong evidence in order to take someone life away. I believe that if have killed, raped children, etc. then you should pay the price and have your life taken away. I understand from the financial part because they use our tax dollars to kill someone just the same as keeping someone in jailed, but i just feel that it worth it. I know that if I had lost a member of my family from a mass murder I would want to see him dead. Seeing that person being put in jail for life wouldnt satisfy me, because I know my families would be haunted by the fact he is still alive. I will not make peace with the prisoner family nor will i forgive or forget. But I would be glad justice is served.

As the years passes by the earth gets warmer and warmer. Climate change is a problem that is affecting people and the environment. Greater energy efficiency and new technologies hold promise for reducing greenhouse gases and solving this global challenge. scientist report that in 1998 was the warmest year coming in history, with 2008 coming in second place. In a way i agree because each it feels a little bit warmer for me and others would also agree with me. Al Gore said "the warning about global warming have been extremely clear for a long time. We are facing a global climate crisis. It is deepening. We are entering a period of consequences".

I feel that the only way Americans can save energy is by consuming power in their homes. Also they can drive less miles in there cars each week. I think that scientist and the government should come up with other ideas in how we can make this world a better place because Americans are worried about finding jobs.

Republican should play fair

On Sept 19, 2011 President Obama came up with the term " buffet Plan". Basically it stops millionaires from taking advantatage from lower tax rates on investment earning. Obama named it after warren buffet the billionaire investor and the chief executive officer of Berkshire Hathaway. He has been quite vocal in arguing that the rich should be taxed more. Obama said "Middle-class families shouldn't pay higher taxes than millionaires and billionaires; that's pretty straightforward".

President Obama shakes hands with investor Warren Buffett after presenting him with a 2010 Presidential Medal of Freedom. One part of the president's deficit-reduction plan is named after Buffett, who suggested that high-income earners like him should pay more in taxes.

Republicans feels that if taxes increase then there wouldnt be any jobs to created.  They aint buying this so call "Buffet Plan". Rather they call it "Class Warfare". also republicans aint buying this new law.  they feel that they dont need to pay the same amount of taxes that the middle class does. Sen. Mitch McConnell (Republican Minority Lear) said "if Warren Buffet feels guilty then he should cut a check". and he also speaks for the republicans and says they dont want to raise taxes. The white house reaction is how can it be "Class Warfare" if all they are asking it to pay the same amount of tax as the middle class pays.

Obama is through playing nice

E.J. Dionne from the Washington post says that Obama finally looked like a president. After watching his speech on YouTube about the american job act, I would agree because he is trying to make america a better place and also trying to help those who are unemployed. He also feels that the bill should be past so thousand of teacher can go back to work because he feels that students needs to be educated so that they can go on and be successful in the future. Obama also feel that veterans shouldnt have to struggle to find a job when they get home. I agree with this because it was hard to find a job when I got out of the army.

While watching the speech i notice some republicans that was there wasnt agreeing with some of the things he was saying. For example some Republicans feels that taxes shouldnt be raised. Warren Buffet make more money than his secretary ,but pay less taxes than she does. He feels that this situation should be fix because it not fair that he make so much money and pays less taxes. I feel that it isn't fair either because taxes shouldnt be raised for the middle class who works hard.
